Art Teacher Tips
Teaching is an incredibly challenging yet rewarding profession. I believe that if everyone had the opportunity to teach for even a year, there would be a greater appreciation for teachers, which could lead to better compensation, but unfortunately that's not going to happen.
Throughout my 30+ years of teaching, I found immense value in sharing ideas and teaching strategies with colleagues. Many teachers and mentors offered me invaluable guidance. Now that I'm retired and have time to reflect, I often think about new and struggling teachers navigating these ever-challenging times. I'd like to offer tiny bits of potentially useful information to anyone who might need it.
Please keep in mind there's no magic wand to make everything easy. Teaching is tough, really tough. However, if you stick with it and are committed to mastering the art of teaching, you will succeed. For what it's worth, I truly believe you're doing a great job; otherwise, you wouldn't be reading this.
